This tutorial is the story of how I happened upon a way to teach iTunes to adapt to my changing musical tastes by giving it what I might want to listen to and then training it to weed out what I’m not in the mood for.
The basic lesson can be applied to make all kinds of smart and adaptable Smart Playlists. Smarten up iTunes’ Smart Playlists with nesting.

Do you like the way you can flick through long lists on the iPhone and iPod touch? Do you wish your Mac had the same functionality? Thanks to Marcmoini’s Smart Scroll, you can bring the same flickin’ scrolling abilities from the iPhone to the desktop.
The USD$19 System add-on runs on Mac OS X 10.3.9 to 10.5.2 (PPC/Intel) and offers “Super Scroll” and something called “Grab Scroll” which allows you to move a window’s contents by “throwing” it. Very weird. Very cool.
Smart Scroll got a bug fix update today, so if you are already a Smart Scroll user, be sure to update.

Smart Scroll X is a Preference Pane that brings smooth iPhone-like scrolling to the Mac desktop. For MacBook users, that means by activating 2-finger scrolling in the Keyboard & Mouse preferences, you can flick down webpages and multi-screen lists right from your trackpad.
Partial Leopard compatibility was added in the v2.7.5b3 update released this weekend.
A single user license costs USD$19.
