Blambot’s first free font of 2007 — Antigrav

343583968 186c4fdc88 m Blambots first free font of 2007 AntigravI guess you’ve figured out by now that I really dig fonts — it’s what I do and I can’t turn it off. It is for this weekend that I find myself hitting Blambot.com every month to see what new typographic creation Nate Piekos has unveiled and what luscious lettering he is offering up as that month’s freebie.

This month, Nate has flipped the switch on “Antigrav” which he describes as a sleek sci-fi font for titles that comes in regular and italic and is totally utterly FREE!!

Also check out Nate’s not-so-free fonts. They are equally wonderful and, I imagine, the money he makes of them probably helps him pay for things… like food. Just a hunch.

XtremeMac expands MicroMemo iPod Recorder line

314548465 8eb33d5cdb m XtremeMac expands MicroMemo iPod Recorder lineXtremeMac today announced a new version of its MicroMemo recorder, designed specifically for the iPod nano 2G, as well as a lapel microphone called MemoMic that works with all versions of MicroMemo. Together, these devices enable digital recording of interviews, lectures, meetings and more, directly to the iPod nano. Once uploaded to a computer, the audio can be used to create podcasts, multimedia presentations and more.

MicroMemo for iPod nano offers one-touch recording via on-screen menus and controls. The device features a flexible, detachable microphone and a built-in speaker for instant playback without headphones. The included microphone can be detached, exposing a 3.5 mm jack which accepts input from other microphones, or line-in devices such as digital mixers. MicroMemo attaches to the bottom of the iPod nano via the dock connector and a toggle switch on the unit selects between microphone, line-in sources, or headphones. MicroMemo is built to complement the shape and aesthetics of the new iPod nano and is available in black or silver anodized aluminum that matches the iPod nano for a suggested retail price of USD$59.95.

In combination with MicroMemo, the MemoMic lapel microphone can be used to record lectures and presentations directly into the iPod or iPod nano with hands free convenience. MemoMic simply plugs into MicroMemo’s 3.5 mm jack and clips on to a jacket, shirt or tie. This allows the presenter to slip the iPod into a pocket and move around while recording. MemoMic is available in black at a suggested retail price of USD$29.95.
