Belkin announces wireless KVM switch aimed at laptop users
Well-known cable and peripheral manufactuer Belkin today announced the “Flip Wireless” KVM Switch. Flip Wireless allows mobile users to bring home their work laptop and easily plug it into their home setup to share one monitor, keyboard, and mouse between two computers. Its wireless remote further reduces the cables that clutter your desktop.
Flip Wireless enables connection of your laptop to your home computer devices easily. The wireless remote can be placed or mounted anywhere on your desktop with the included fastener strip. Flip Wireless also allows you to connect your old and new home computers, so you can easily access files and programs using the same desktop devices. It offers the added feature of letting you share one set of speakers between computers. Flip Wireless fully supports any combination of PC and Mac desktop and notebook computers for use in any home or work environment.
Flip Wireless will sell for USD$79.99 and will ship in North America in June. It’s not clear from the press release and picture just what the remote is for… hooking to the laptop, or controlling the switch.
