Palm Tricks

Palm software for OS X was slow coming, but we finally have a decent set of freeware to include your handheld in the worlds most advanced operating system.

Acrobat Reader 2.0

This is the first version compatible with Mac, and can be a very handy tool for putting graphics on your Palm. This conduit and application condenses PDF documents for viewing on your Palm. Although any PDF can be compressed and put on your Palm, OS X users will find PDF screenshots perfect for putting pictures on the handheld.

HandStoryBasic

HandStory is a great ebook reader and picture viewer. The free version is a little limited, but still better than most free readers out there. Best yet, it has a Mac desktop application that converts text and graphics.

Now that we have ebooks and pictures, what more could you ask for? Well, below I have listed a slew of other items for Palm and OS X. EnjoyÖ

Conduits:

AppleMailConduit

This will allow you to sync mail from OS Xís email application with your Palm.

TimeCopy

This conduit syncs your Palmís date and time with your Mac. (If TimeCopy doesnít do it for you try ClockSync)

Expense

You guessed it; it syncs your Palm Expense with your Mac.

Utilities:

Pordible

Text-ebook converter.

MPC

Opens Palm databases on your Mac.

That does it for me. Until next week, thatís Freeloader Friday.
