Roxio unveils Toast 9 Titanium

Roxio has introduced Toast 9 Titanium. Toast 9 allows you to record high-definition video from high-definition camcorders and favorite HD programming from TiVo DVRs and Elgato’s EyeTV devices to Blu-ray Disc. Users also have the option to burn HD video and slide shows on standard DVDs.

For on-the-go entertainment, Toast 9 introduces Roxio Streamer. Streamer allows users to stream video content stored on their home Mac to a Wi-Fi connected iPhone or iPod Touch or any Internet connected Mac or PC.

Another Toast innovation allows captured music tracks to be automatically tagged with song titles, artist or other related information. Toast 9 Titanium is available direct from Roxio for USD$99.99. The High Definition/Blu-ray Disc (HD/BD) plug-in, which is needed to author BD video is sold separately for USD$19.99 and is available free for those who purchase Toast 9 online at roxio.com through April 13, 2008.

MacSpeech releases ScriptPak for Toast 8

Macintosh speech recognition authority MacSpeech Inc. has released new a new ScriptPak for Toast Titanium version 8. The new ScriptPak add almost 60 commands to iListen, allowing users to do virtually anything in Toast they would normally do using the keyboard or menus.

ScriptPaks work with MacSpeech’s flagship product, iListen, whose TalkAnywhere technology allows users to dictate anywhere they would normally type. ScriptPaks enhance iListen’s Command & Control capabilities by teaching it about the individual keyboard and menu commands in a specific program. ScriptPaks only affect iListen’s ability to control an application and are not required for dictation. The Toast ScriptPak is available immediately from the MacSpeech online store for only USD$10.

MacSpeech offers several iListen packages, including a software only solution for USD$99, and a software and headset with microphone for USD$149.

Headlining Toast 8 are a number of unique new features including TiVoToGo, Blu-ray disc burning, disc cataloging, cross-platform data spanning and recovery, and advanced audio tools that help redefine the standard for disc burning on the Mac platform.

Toast 8 Titanium is available now for purchase direct from Roxio and will be widely available from e-tailers and retail outlets this month. The suggested price is USD$99.99.
