Fake Leopard Screenshot Contest Winners
A few weeks ago, I announced a Fake Leopard Screenshot contest with a software prize bounty valued at over $1000 reserved for each of the top three submissions.
Today, I posted the winners as well as three runners up, (out of over 40 entries submitted) and I think the results speak for themselves. After one look at these, chances are you’ll be very disappointed come WWDC. There’s a lot of creative ideas here, including among other things, much, MUCH improved Mail, Safari, and iTunes, built in torrent support, single window Pro user interfaces, full Windows virtualization, expanded use of metadata in the Finder, tough screen gesture support, and just much, much more.
Each entry, judged by a panel of software developers, also includes some comments by panel members including Delicious Monster’s Wil Shipley, AppZapper’s Austin Sarner, the Iconfactory’s Gedeon Maheux, NewsFire’s Dave Watanabe, and more. If you’ve been getting excited for Apple’s upcoming Leopard to be previewed this WWDC, you will not want to miss these screenshots. In all likelihood, they will be cooler than the real thing.
Note:Presumably submitted by Phill Ryu.
