Unsanity releases FontCard 1.5

fontcard 20070606 204829 Unsanity releases FontCard 1.5Unsanity has announced the availability of FontCard 1.5. This update adds support for FontExplorer sets and Suitcase Fusion sets. It also now modifies the font panel and shows third party font sets, format icons, and WYSIWYG fonts in the font panel. There are also miscellaneous bug fixes and specific fixes for users running on Intel-based Macs. This is a free update for all registered users.

FontCard modifies the Font menu and the font panel in Carbon and Cocoa applications. It can add an icon that displays the format of a font next to the font menu item or font panel list, display the font name in the font face, group fonts into submenus, and add third party font collections to the font menu and font panel.

FontCard is priced at USD$17.

Unsanity releases Labels X 1.8.1

labelsx 20070418 214438 Unsanity releases Labels X 1.8.1Unsanity LLC has announced the availability of Labels X 1.8.1, an update includes a fix for the Recent Items menu on the Intel-based Macs and includes APE 2.0.3. This is a free update for all registered users.

Labels X enhances Apple’s file labeling features in Mac OS X. This means that, not only can you apply various color tints to file or folder icons, and sort the files by label, but also you have an option of applying color tints to either an icon or its name or both. Labels X sells for USD$10.
New in version 1.8.1:

  • This upgrade is free for all registered users.
  • Includes Application Enhancer 2.0.3.
  • Fixed an issue preventing Recent Items menu from working on Intel-based Macs.

Good news and bad news– Unsanity APE Haxies updated, Apple ”unsupportive”

Today Unsanity issued updates for FruitMenu 3.6.4 and WindowShade X 4.1.2. Both are haxies that use Unsanity’s Application Enhancer to enhance system functionality.

FruitMenu gives you the ability to customize the Apple Menu and contextual menus. Using a visual editor you can edit the contents of the menus to suit your needs and taste. FruitMenu sells for USD$10.

WindowShade X provides a way of organizing your work in Mac OS X by allowing you to assign various actions to the minimize button and to the action of double-clicking on the window title. WindowShade X sells for USD$10.

In a slightly related story that I found on John Gruber’s blog, Daring Fireball, an Apple Mailing List item confirms that Apple’s official policy on Application Enhancer modules is that they offer no support on “APE’d systems.”
