Aquafadas updates iDive to version 1.8
Aquafadas has announced iDive 1.8, the latest installment in its video cataloging product. This new version includes a completely new capture module for video footage that lets users choose how they want their videos stored on disk: either as high quality footage fully compatible with either iMovie or Final Cut, or as on-the-fly compressed videos. iDive 1.8 also includes numerous organizational improvements: tape groups have been introduced as well as folder hierarchies for imported material. New maintenance tools have been introduced to run diagnostic and repair corrupted libraries. Improved handling of iMovie projects, improved tagging and an extended documentation conclude this long list of changes.
iDive offers amateur and semi-professional users a robust on-screen digital video shoebox to store clips and still images. The application includes truly innovative tools that make navigation both easy and fast, regardless of the number of clips being stored. Power previewing, customizable views, “drag & drop” attribute tagging and a timeline display turn any assortment of disorganised tapes and video files into an instantly accessible catalog of digital video that can be enjoyed at any time.
The iDive 1.8 release is available immediately for download from the Aquafadas web site and is free for 1.5 customers. A single user license key sells for USD$69.95 (59.95euros + VAT) , with academic prices being offered at USD$49.95. Volume discounts are also available.
