Do you find Leopard’s folders ugly? Replace them!

icons 20071126 202546 Do you find Leopards folders ugly? Replace them! After watching the Vista aftermath from the sidelines and hearing Windows users curse Microsoft for their pain, I find it interesting to hear the complaints from Mac users after installing Leopard.

“I hate the translucent Menu Bar!” some say.

“The reflective 3-D Dock is just ridiculous!” gripe others.

“I love CoverFlow in the Finder, but those folder icons are fugly!” For this one, The Iconfactory comes to your rescue!

Icon artist Dave Brasgalla has pushed some pleasing pixels together to offer a collection of system replacement icons that should have you drooling over Leopard’s CoverFlow and spurring the envy of your Vista encumbered friends.

Don’t gloat too much though, The Iconfactory’s Leopard Folders are available for Windows as well as Mac (as folders or as a CandyBar iContainer) and are free of charge.

60 bucks to whoever can get a BlackBerry working as as a mobile Mac modem

As a BlackBerry and Mac user, I’d very much like to be able to use my BlackBerry as a modem for my Mac laptop the same way Windows users can. In looking through the numerous forum and mobile web sites, it seems that this is a common desire among Mac laptop users, but no one has gotten it to work yet.

As an incentive for enterprising developers to spend some time trying to solve this problem, I’ve started a ‘bounty’.

Hopefully this will hasten the finding/development of a working solution.
